Texas Instruments IoT Workshop

SJSU IEEE is jumping onto the IoT bandwagon!

Last week we had two wonderful guests from Texas Instruments, Kathy Wicks and Daniel Ogilvie, lead a workshop on cutting edge wireless technology. They flew in from Texas the morning of just for this workshop, and even brought an abundant supply of Fourth Street Pizza for the event!

We had an amazing turnout, with over 60 members attending the event. The members were able to interface to a joystick, LCD display, and Wifi card using a TI Launchpad to create interactive content and even tweet from the official Texas Instruments Twitter account. The workshop ended with 5 lucky members receiving their own TI Launchpad and booster packs through a raffle. We had an amazing time at the workshop and we would like to thank Texas Instruments for making this event possible.
